Get the Best in Ductless Systems

Ductless Heat Pumps are Versatile – Ductless systems can be placed just about anywhere and are perfect for a retrofit or new construction. All that a ductless system typically requires is a three-inch hole drilled through an exterior wall to run conduit and refrigerant lines, a place for an outdoor compressor and space for a wall- or floor-mounted indoor fan coil. Some systems can use existing ductwork to distribute heated and cooled air, while other systems can be installed in an attic and hidden from view. Whatever design is chosen a ductless system can heat and cool an entire home comfortably and efficiently.
No Duct Work Needed – Of course, one of the main advantages of a ductless system is that no ductwork is required. Although the technology can be used with existing ductwork, a ductless system requires NO ductwork. And that’s good because up to 30% efficiency can be lost when air is distributed through ductwork.
Increased Efficiency – Inverter technology is used to control the speed of the compressor motor to continuously regulate temperature. The compressor speeds up or slows down according to the homes’ demand for heating and cooling. In a traditional unitary system, there is only all on, or all off according to the setting on the thermostat. Think of it as driving an energy-efficient car, cruising through the roundabouts verses a gas guzzler stopping and starting at all the intersections. The ductless system just purrs along in the background…In fact, a ductless system performs better if it is left on 24/7!
Ductless Rebates Available in the Pacific Northwest – Utility companies offer incentives in the form of rebates for homeowners that choose to replace their inefficient electric systems with a ductless system. Utility rebates can make an important investment even more affordable. We help our customers by offering the rebate up front. We take care of all the paperwork, so our customers won’t have to.
Convenience – Ductless heat pumps can be installed in separate rooms, or as a whole house solution. In our own home, we’ve chosen a wall-mounted Daikin system that heats and cools our entire living space of 1300 square feet. Temperature control is easy. If you want to change the temperature, you don’t even have to get up off the couch because each unit comes with a remote control. Or you can choose a Wi-Fi compatible controller that works with your phone.
Simple Ductless System Installation - Ductless Heat Pump Systems are extremely straightforward and simple to install. A simple installation may require less than a day, although more complicated systems may take longer.
What’s in a Brand?
There are plenty of compelling reasons to go ductless, but which brand of ductless system should one choose? We recently traveled to Costa Rica and discovered at least six different brands, some installed on the same building, and installed in creative ways.
But since we started our company in 2012, the three brands that we’ve chosen to install in over 2500 homes and businesses are Fujitsu, Daikin and Mitsubishi. All three of these brands offer high quality, energy-efficient, well-designed systems with robust warranties and amazing contractor support. So why would we offer three when one might suffice? The answer is that we don’t just offer products or brands, we offer choice. Having three different brands available guarantees that a homeowner has options in efficiency, design, function and price.
